Faina Savich
Instructor
Faina Savich is a Latin ballroom dancer. She was born in Vibetsk, Belarus, and grew up in Moscow. She now resides in New York with her family. Her dance career began at the age of 11, when a mandatory dance class in school turned into her biggerst passion. She was partnering with her brother, Stas, for most of her dance career. Moving to the United States opened up many doors for her: the opportunities in dancing could be finally realized, and that's exactly what followed. While getting her college degree in business, she was competing all over the U.S., as well as internationally, and in 2003 she and her brother won North American championship. A year later they got 4th place in the US Open, which took place in Miami.
Faina's dance achievements didnt' stop there. In 2007, she was chosen among thousands of people to be one of 20 dancers on a TV hit-show, "So You Think You Can Dance," which aired its 3rd season in the summer. Shortly after participating in the show, she joined the team of instructors at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Manhattan. She is currently teaching, choreographing, and performing, which remains her biggest joy.

Jeanne Monntalvo
Specialist/Instructor
Jeannes passion for music led her to dance at a young age. Growing up in a Latin household, she was introduced to merengue and salsa before she started elementary school. With a basic knowledge of ballet and jazz, she found ballroom in high school starting with an introductory program at Arthur Murray. She expanded upon her love of dance at the University of Central Florida becoming a founding member of Latin Fever: an Orlando based performance group, performing at University events, Orlando Festivals, and Disney. After graduation, she returned to Atlanta where she became a specialist at Arthur Murray. Jeanne traveled to Barcelona to complete her second degree in 2006, where she also began studying international style dancing as well as expanding her performance knowledge in Latin through international Salsa Congresses. She is now currently back at Arthur Murray, and more driven than ever by her past experiences. Her passion for music drives her to move, and that love of dance pushes her to want that for every student she comes into contact with. To know what dancing does for a person and to be able to infuse that into him or her is an amazing gift: a circle of rewards. As Bob Fosse comments to his dancers in the film All That Jazz, if you work hard, take my instructions, and put everything in your being into the effort, you will be the best dancer that you could ever be.

Jeanne competed professionally in the Future Champions division at the Empire State Dancesport Championship and is certified in the American style of dancing. She also this year became a certified Core Rhythms instructor under Julia and Bob Powers combining the excitement of dance with fitness.
