Ballroom dancing competition weekends happen several times a year for Arthur Murray teachers and students. This March Arthur Murray International is hosting the biggest ballroom dance weekend in it’s 100 year history.

What’s the big party for? The 100th year of Arthur Murray Ballroom Dance Studios sharing the joys of social and competitive ballroom dancing around the world!

Ballroom dance students and teachers from over 200 countries will gather for a week long celebration at the Sheraton Hotel in NYC.

Schedule of Events - Important Information

* All Attendees (Students, Staff & Franchisees)
Due to the expected high participation in this 100th Anniversary Celebration event, everyone
attending must be on a package. Franchisees & studio personnel wishing to attend Saturday
evening’s gala must be on a package.

* Student Award Plaques
To ensure that all Student Award Plaques are correct, they will be mailed to the studios
following the event. This will allow us to have all the entries correct and the students will not
have to carry the plaques home with them. They also have the option of not receiving a
plaque. Please check the box on the entry sheet if you would like a plaque.

* Package & Hotel Reservations
The Closing Date for Package & Hotel Reservations is Friday, February 3, 2012.
To take advantage of the Package Incentive Program, all Package & Hotel Reservations must
be received, and Paid In Full by this deadline.

* Dance Entries
The Closing Date for Dance Entries is Friday, March 2, 2012. To take advantage of the
Dance Entry Incentive Program, all Dance Entries must be received, and Paid In Full by this
deadline.

A confirmation of Package & Dance Entries will be sent to each studio. Please review the
package & entries to ensure they are correct. If there are any errors, changes, corrections or
deletions, please advise us immediately via email. All corrections or adjustments must be
received by Friday, March 9. No changes will be allowed beyond this date nor at the event.

* Cancellation Policy
1. Cancellations received by March 2, 2012 will receive a full refund.
2. Cancellations after March 2 or No Shows will be charged 25% of package price.
* Top Student Awards
There are two categories in which students may qualify for a Top Student Award:
1. Top Individual Routine: To qualify, a student must simply do an Individual Routine.
Awards are presented in each dance standard to the student (male or female) receiving the
highest average score from the judges.
2. Overall Top Student: Students must dance a minimum of six (6)
entries in either the Closed and/or the Open Category to qualify.
Awards are given based on the number of first places the student
wins. If there is a tie, it is broken by the student with the next
highest score. Therefore, the more entries a student dances the
greater the chance of winning the Overall Top Student Award.
* Top Instructor Awards
To qualify for one of the fourteen (14) Cash Awards an instructor
must have a minimum of two (2) participating students with at least
six (6)entries each. Of course having more students and more
entries, increases your chances of winning a Top Instructor Award.
